1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Agora Hair's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Agora Hair provides professional hair care services including:
- Precision hair cutting and styling
- Personalized hair coloring and treatments
- Professional hair care consultations
- Specialized treatments using sustainable, vegan-friendly products
3. Appointment Booking and Cancellation
Booking: Appointments can be booked through our Fresha booking system or by phone. All bookings are subject to availability.
Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service cost.
No-Shows: Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice may result in a charge of up to 100% of the booked service cost and may affect future booking privileges.
Late Arrivals: Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in shortened service time or rescheduling, as we must respect the appointments of other clients.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- Credit and debit cards
- Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
- Mobile payment methods
All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change without notice. Current pricing will be confirmed at the time of booking.
5. Client Responsibilities
As a client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your hair history, allergies, and any medical conditions
- Inform us of any concerns or sensitivities before treatments begin
- Follow aftercare instructions provided by our stylists
- Respect our staff and other clients
- Arrive clean and prepared for your appointment
- Communicate openly about your desired results during consultations
6. Service Guarantee and Satisfaction
We strive for complete client satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with your service, please inform us within 7 days. We will work with you to address any concerns and, where appropriate, offer corrective services at no additional charge. This guarantee does not apply to changes in personal preference after service completion or failure to follow aftercare instructions.
7. Allergy Testing and Patch Tests
For certain chemical treatments (such as coloring or keratin treatments), we may require an allergy patch test 48 hours before the appointment. It is your responsibility to schedule this test in advance. We reserve the right to refuse service if a patch test has not been completed or if a reaction occurs.
8. Liability and Disclaimer
While we use professional products and techniques, results may vary based on individual hair type, condition, and history. Agora Hair is not liable for:
- Unexpected reactions to products (when patch tests have been properly conducted)
- Results affected by undisclosed previous treatments or hair damage
- Loss or damage to personal belongings left on premises
- Results that do not meet expectations due to unrealistic goals or miscommunication
9. Photography and Marketing
We may take photographs of our work for marketing and portfolio purposes. If you do not wish to have your image used, please inform us before your appointment. By allowing photography, you grant Agora Hair permission to use these images on our website, social media, and marketing materials.
10. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
11. Health and Safety
We maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation. All tools and equipment are properly cleaned and sterilized. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone with contagious conditions or who poses a health risk to staff or other clients.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Agora Hair and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
